Ravens vs. Chargers top prop bets to make for Week 6 NFL game
By Justin Fried
3. Marquise Brown, WR, Ravens: 60.5 receiving yards (o/u)
It feels like every week we bet the over on Marquise Brown’s passing yards. And that’s because he just keeps hitting it.
Brown is once again projected to total a modest 60.5 receiving yards in Week 5, and that feels very low for a number of reasons.
The former Oklahoma star is on pace for an absolutely monster season and is currently top-10 in the NFL in receiving yards. There’s no indication that he’ll slow down anytime soon.
Brown had his best game of the season last week hauling in a whopping nine catches for 125 yards and two touchdowns. He has 69 or more receiving yards in all but one game this season.
And that lone game came in Week 3 when his three crucial drops nearly cost his team the win. But the opportunities were there, and if Brown caught even one of those passes, he easily surpasses his projection for this week.
There’s absolutely no reason why Brown shouldn’t finish with 61 or more receiving yards against the Chargers.
On top of his outstanding play in recent weeks, the Ravens will be without Sammy Watkins in this game. The debut of Rashod Bateman could eat into his targets slightly, but it’s likely that Bateman is eased into the lineup.
Brown should receive more targets this week with Watkins out — not less. Barring a dud of a game, he should easily surpass this projection.
Smash the over for Marquise Brown this week.
