5. Lamar Jackson still helped his MVP case

Despite his relatively slow day, Jackson still made sure to help boost his MVP candidacy. Much of that had to do with the quarterback he was matched up against, Justin Herbert.

It was far from an ideal day for Herbert who finished 22-of-39 for 195 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. His 67.8 QB rating was easily his worst of the season.

Jackson outplayed Herbert, an MVP favorite going into the game, and helped his team improve to 5-1. That will go a long way in the eyes of the MVP voters at the end of the year.

6. Mark Andrews is worth every penny of his new contract

Mark Andrews continued his streak of impressive performances with another excellent showing in Week 6.

The $56 million man finished with a team-leading five catches for 68 yards and a touchdown and nearly scored his second had it not been for an errant pass from his quarterback.

Andrews now has 26 catches for 391 yards in his last four games and is well on pace to set a new career-high in both receptions and receiving yards.

It was a slow start to the season for Andrews, but he’s picked it up in recent weeks and reminded everyone why he’s one of the best tight ends in football.
