The MIKE linebacker role for the Ravens is one of the most high-profile to fill on the team. After his rookie season, Patrick Queen seemed poised to elevate his play further and thrive in the role.

That wasn’t the case through the first five weeks, so much so he was Pro Football Focus’ lowest graded linebacker, and Bleacher Report named him the Ravens’ biggest disappointment of the season after Week 4.

However, since moving to the WILL linebacker spot, making way for Josh Bynes at MIKE, Queen has seen a significant improvement in his play — earning a 90.5 grade from PFF, highest among all linebackers.

Playing in the role he thrived in at LSU has significantly improved his impact on the Ravens’ defense, and is unlocking more of the potential the team saw when they drafted him.

Against the Vikings’ run and play-action heavy offense, a big game from Queen could be a huge factor in deciding the winner of the game.

Queen’s freedom at WILL and range makes him a valuable chess piece to combat Dalvin Cook and the rollout passes Minnesota designs.

Queen’s play is dramatically trending upwards as he further acclimates as Baltimore’s WILL. Look for his improvement to continue and for him to pop against the Vikings.
