Patrick Ricard was the unsung hero in this game. The offense was struggling in the first half. Outside of a pass interference call for Bateman at the end of the half, the unit had nothing going.

Then in the third quarter, Ricard went off. He caught three passes for 35 yards including a touchdown on fourth down. And he did it all on that one drive alone.

He also had a 22-yard catch where it took the whole Vikings team to take him down.

Normally known for his blocking prowess, Ricard showed off his versatility in this game. He once again showed us how important he is in our offense.

As a 300-pound converted fullback, that is a huge man to bring down. Just like in the playoff game against the Tennessee Titans, when the Ravens’ offense was struggling they threw it to Ricard on the flats. He then proceeded to carry the opposing team 10-15 yards down the field.

Just like then it gave the Ravens huge momentum swing that they needed. In both second halves, the Ravens took over to win those games.
