Excitement is in the air as Baltimore Ravens football returns on Saturday night. Baltimore is set to host the Philadelphia Eagles to kick off their preseason schedule. While most of the Ravens' established players will sit out, this is a great opportunity to see some younger players, especially the Ravens' loaded rookie class.
The Ravens drafted 11 players, with several of them primed to make an immediate impact. With this in mind, let's take a look at four rookies who are set to show out on Saturday.
4 Baltimore Ravens rookies ready to make an early impression in preseason
Ja'Kobi Lane
This one feels too easy: Ja'Kobi Lane has been the star of the Ravens' training camp. The third-round pick seemingly makes a spectacular catch every day. As a 6-foot-4 athletic beast, Lane should jump off the screen and make some highlight plays.

If everything goes as planned, we should see Lane make some of his signature contested catches and showcase his red-zone abilities. He has the exact skill set that Baltimore has been searching for throughout the Lamar Jackson era.
Overall, if training camp is any indication, Lane's first preseason game should come with plenty of fireworks.
Vega Ioane
First-round pick Vega Ioane should help transform the Ravens' interior offensive line. Last season, the guard duo of Daniel Faalele and Andrew Vorhees was a glaring weakness that helped derail the team. Ioane is a blue-chip guard prospect who excels as a pass protector.
The Ravens' starting guard might not be flashy, but Ioane's stable protection should be on full display during his preseason debut. Ioane has thrived at training camp, and all signs point to him showcasing his upside on Saturday.
Surely, a strong performance from Ioane will get Ravens fans pumped for a season where Lamar should have some improved protection.
Zion Young
Second-round pick Zion Young is an absolute beast, especially as a run stopper. During his final year of college, Young recorded an impressive 16.5 tackles for loss. Furthermore, he is a solid pass-rusher who plays with a contagious energy. Sounds like a classic Raven, right?
Young is currently listed as the Ravens' backup SAM linebacker behind Tavius Robinson. Preseason gives Young a chance to loudly showcase his upside. Whether it's in the run game or pass-rush, expect Young to make some big plays and set the tone with his energy for the Ravens' defense.
Adam Randall
Last but not least, we have Adam Randall. The fifth-round pick is currently listed as the Ravens' fourth-string running back. Nevertheless, I believe his pass-catching abilities can benefit the team and give him at least a situational role.
Preseason gives Randall a golden opportunity to showcase his upside. Not only will Derrick Henry sit out, but per Jeff Zrebiec, it's unlikely that Justice Hill will suit up, and Rasheen Ali is dealing with an injury. As such, Randall should get a ton of touches, and I'm predicting that he'll take full advantage of that.
The wide receiver turned running back provides pass-catching chops with a rare blend of size and strength. With his unique skill set and an opportunity for a heavy workload, I predict Randall will leave fans wowed.
