The Baltimore Ravens are set to enter the 2026 NFL Draft with the 14th-overall pick, and the team could go in a number of directions with that selection. While the franchise will be focused on addressing important needs during the draft, Baltimore could find itself in position to address a need and ruin a rival’s night.
One player the Ravens have been linked to is wide receiver Jordyn Tyson. Baltimore reportedly has interest in the talented wideout, but so does the wide receiver-needy Cleveland Browns. While the Browns are currently projected to be on the clock first, possessing the No. 6 pick, they are reportedly considering a couple of paths that could cost them Tyson.
Cleveland has been identified as a team that could trade back in the draft, and it’s also possible that the Browns take an offensive lineman at six, and hope to land a receiver like Tyson at 24, with their second pick. Whatever the case, if Cleveland doesn’t take Tyson with the sixth pick, the Ravens might have the chance to select him at 14 and devastate Browns fans.
Ravens could give Browns a draft nightmare by drafting Jordyn Tyson
Tyson has had a wild draft process, emerging as one of the most polarizing prospects of the year. Based on his talent, he’s arguably the best wideout in the class. However, three different injuries throughout his college career has led to the possibility of him sliding in the draft. That possibility is why Cleveland fans thought the team may be able to land him with the 24th pick.
Now, with the draft set to kick off April 23, Tyson’s stock is trending back up. After not participating at the Scouting Combine or Arizona State’s Pro Day, the receiver ran routes for teams in a private workout on Friday, and he reportedly looked healthy and like the electric receiver that he has been when on the field. With that update, draft analysts are now saying Tyson could go as early as five.
If that happens, neither the Browns nor the Ravens will have the chance to select the receiver. However, if Tyson makes it to Cleveland at six, and the Browns don’t select the wideout, Baltimore could make them forever regret that decision. Not only would the Ravens get better by adding Tyson, but the receiver will be able to dominate Cleveland twice a season.
