The Baltimore Ravens have almost completed a stellar offseason. Almost. They’ve had an impressive roster rehaul, and recently, they found their apparent starting center by signing Ethan Pocic. They shouldn’t be done, though.
There might be one more spot to fix. Well, they already fixed it, but they could certainly add depth there. The pass rush room could use the extra help.
Baltimore’s outside linebacker crew is headed by Trey Hendrickson, who will be the game-changer that the defense has lacked off the edge for almost a decade. They also have Mike Green and Zion Young eager to do damage, along with a versatile defender in Tavius Robinson. Still, there’s room for one more.
How about Jadeveon Clowney? You can never have too many pass rushers, and bringing on a 12-year veteran with 66.5 career sacks would be the perfect pass rusher to complete the defense.

We’ve been banging the table for the Ravens to bring back Clowney for almost the entire offseason. It feels like it just makes too much sense. The 33-year-old enjoyed a successful one-year stint in Charm City, totaling 9.5 sacks in 2023, and could be interested in coming back for another go.
You really shouldn’t have to worry about Clowney falling off either. Last season, he put up 8.5 sacks with the Dallas Cowboys. Father Time might start catching up to him in 2026, but if he came to Baltimore as the fifth pass rusher in their rotation and brought anything of value, that’d be a hit.
If Clowney were to sign, he’d almost certainly force Adisa Isaac off the roster. While Isaac was an intriguing piece as a 2024 third-round pick, he just hasn’t been able to see the field. And when he has been healthy, he’s done very little to produce encouraging moments. As Jesse Minter looks to turn around the defense in 2026, a more sure-fire producer like Clowney could be exactly what he’s looking for.
It’d also be a low-risk move at this point in the offseason. The Ravens still have enough money to move around, and after signing Pocic to a one-year deal worth up to $4.5 million, it’s clear that the NFL has gotten to the bargain part of the offseason. This is when older contributors start to come out of the woodwork and sign, so maybe we see Clowney make a decision on the next stage of his NFL career. Hopefully it involves a return to Charm City.
