The Baltimore Ravens have plenty of roster spots up for grabs heading into training camp. Their starters on both sides of the football make up one of the best rosters in the league, but their depth also contains proven talent and young players with a ton of potential.

Baltimore was tied with the San Francisco 49ers for the largest draft class following the 2025 NFL Draft, with 11 rookies entering the league. Many of these came in the late stages of the draft, which included five sixth-round choices.

It is unlikely that all will make the team, as several have an uphill battle in deep position rooms; however, sixth-round cornerback Bilhal Kone could steal a roster spot heading into the regular season.

Overlooked draft pick Bilhal Kone could steal roster spot in training camp

The Ravens' cornerback room is one of the deepest in the NFL. Media outlets have ranked it as the league’s best. It is headed by four proven corners in Marlon Humphrey, Nate Wiggins, Jaire Alexander, and Chidobe Awuzie, and various young playmakers are looking to make their name heard this year. Kone could be among those players, but he will need to outplay his fellow rookies and those who have had a head start on him in Baltimore.

Kone’s biggest opponent is likely another sixth-round selection in Robert Longerbeam out of Rutgers. While the two are projected to play different roles–Kone on the boundary and Longerbeam in the slot–Baltimore’s secondary is positionless. The unit prides itself on its versatility, and while it is only their first year in the league, the rookies will have to adjust.

Fourth-year pro Jalyn Armour-Davis is another corner Kone could be battling for reps. Armour-Davis has been a notable player throughout the offseason, as he has tested out the waters at safety with Ar’Darius Washington out with an Achilles injury. Still, he is in the way of Kone seeing the field and having a ticket to a spot on the 53-man roster.

Armour-Davis has failed to carve out much of a role in Baltimore thus far. Much of that has been in part due to unlucky injuries. Although when he has seen the field, it has not been pretty. If Kone can impress early in training camp, it should not be that difficult for him to start taking snaps away from a guy like Armour-Davis.

Many players have impressed coaches during offseason activities, but training camp will be the first true test this year. If the rookie Kone can prove he can handle the pressure better than others, the chances of him making the roster could grow significantly heading into preseason.
