The Baltimore Ravens have star players almost everywhere you look on the depth chart. The most crucial positions have Pro Bowl and All-Pro caliber names. Many media outlets praise Baltimore for having the best roster in the league heading into 2025, which is thanks in part to the several superstar playmakers the Ravens have on their team.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson, running back Derrick Henry, and safety Kyle Hamilton are the three best players on the team. These superstars can seemingly change the game on any given down. Jackson and Henry are as dangerous as any in the league with the ball in their hands, and Hamilton’s range allows him to be a factor on any play.
Dalton Wasserman and Trevor Sikkema of Pro Football Focus (PFF) put together a list of the top 50 players in the NFL heading into the 2025 campaign. On the list, Baltimore’s top three players made it. Jackson came in at number four, Henry at number eight, and Hamilton ranked 31st.
Of those rankings, Henry and Hamilton land as the highest-ranked players at their position. Henry substantially outplaces reigning Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley, who was placed 22nd. Hamilton ranked ahead of Green Bay Packers safety Xavier McKinney, who took home first-team All-Pro honors in 2025.
While neither of those two Ravens earned the highest honors for their position in 2024, this list shows there is reason to believe they should go out and prove they are the best this season. Another ranking, though, takes a jab at the two-time MVP Jackson, and it is not the first time he has been disrespected this offseason.
The Lamar Jackson disrespect is getting ridiculous
For most, being ranked the fourth-best player in the NFL would be an honor, but for Jackson, after the season he had, it is a bit low. Sure, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the league due to the accolades he has racked up to this point in his career. But after him, Jackson should be widely considered number two at the very least. The other quarterback ahead of him is also Baltimore’s biggest division rival.
PFF put Mahomes as the second-best player in the league, and behind him and ahead of Jackson is Cincinnati Bengals signal-caller Joe Burrow. Burrow is an outstanding quarterback and one of the most accurate in the league. He leads a lethal air attack that is borderline unstoppable with the receiver duo of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. However, the LSU product has done nothing to prove he is better than Jackson.
Jackson has a step up on Burrow in nearly every category—MVPs, head-to-head matchups, and even PFF’s grades from 2024. Jackson graded as the best quarterback in the league with a 94.9 overall grade, just ahead of Burrow, who was second with a 93.9.
People can hang onto that AFC Championship that Burrow won in 2021, which is a spectacular accomplishment, but in 2025, Jackson is the better player, and it should not be a debate. Regardless, both players are electric, and they are focused on leading their respective teams to the Super Bowl this year.
