He should have the green light.

Mike Green has a lot of people to impress in Week 4. All eyes are on him. The Baltimore Ravens ruled Trey Hendrickson out for Sunday, leaving Green in a spot to be the top dog off the edge.

The question is: Is Green ready to be the leader of the pack?

Green has been extremely inconsistent since entering the NFL last year. His rookie campaign was disappointing, putting up just 3.5 sacks, and the start of 2026 has been largely disappointing as well.

However, the last time Green saw an increase in usage was in Week 2, and he showed out. The second-year pro then saw a decrease in his snap share last week, but Baltimore’s matchup with the Tennessee Titans should see that number skyrocket back up. He’ll have every opportunity to prove he’s the lethal pass rusher this team needs opposite Hendrickson.

Baltimore Ravens need to see Mike Green reach a new level in Week 4

Mike Green isn’t the only one who needs to step his game up. Tavius Robinson and Zion Young will be leaned on more heavily, and Ethan Burke is expected to get his first snaps on the defensive side of the ball. This game is going to be very telling of just how deep the Ravens’ pass-rush room is.

Ultimately, though, Green will have most of the attention on him. He’s a former highly-touted second-round pick who needs to start showing signs of being a starting-caliber force.

And this battle against the Titans won’t be entirely easy.

Sure, Green should find his fair share of wins if he’s as talented as draft experts believed he was. Tennessee carries a 46% pass-block win rate, which ranks 26th in the NFL, per ESPN analytics. But that same line has also allowed just 17 pressures and 1 sack this season.

The Titans passing attack seems to be pivoting to a quick-release offense, too. Cam Ward got the ball out at a rapid pace, posting a 2.47-second time to throw and averaging 5.0 yards per pass in Tennessee’s Week 3 loss to the New York Giants.

If Ward and company come out firing like that again, Green won’t have ample chances to notch sacks. He does have the quickness to disrupt in a pinch, though. It’ll be all about showcasing that impressive get-off and bend that was on full display in his 17-sack effort at Marshall in 2024.

That has been seen sporadically at the professional level. He has 1 sack this year and has posted a 68.3 overall grade, per Pro Football Focus. Still, that’s just not good enough. Not for a pass rusher that was praised as a first-round talent coming out of the 2025 NFL Draft.

In 20 career games, Green has fallen short of those expectations. This defense needs him to start proving he can be a dominant pass rusher. Maybe he’ll thrive with the spotlight on him in Week 4.
