The Baltimore Ravens have had themselves a really strong draft, headlined by the selection of Vega Ioane at No. 14. It may not be the dream draft for fans, as the team has ignored a huge hole at center, but there’s a lot of talent.

Their AFC North rival, the Cleveland Browns, have also enjoyed a nice draft. Their first four picks could have a significant impact in their rookie years. However, the Browns are gonna Brown.

Cleveland rounded out their draft in the most Cleveland way possible. With their sixth-round selection at No. 182 overall, they drafted Taylen Green, a quarterback from Arkansas. Yes, you read that right. A quarterback. Their already messy QB room just got even messier.

There’s not a day that goes by that Ravens fans aren’t thankful that Lamar Jackson is their quarterback. We’re incredibly lucky. It’s difficult to find a great quarterback in this league, and the Browns are a prime example of that.

Taylen Green is an interesting prospect. He has unbelievable size and athleticism that very few, if any, quarterbacks can match. He’s also very raw as a quarterback, though. And he's going to an organization with a very rough history.

The Browns haven’t been able to develop quarterbacks well, and with the Green pick, they’re taking on possibly the biggest project in the draft. They are adding a player with one of the lowest floors and highest ceilings. It’s a chaotic move for a team with a chaotic QB room.

If Cleveland didn’t draft two quarterbacks last year, no one would be questioning this pick. In that case, it’d actually be considered a good dart throw. However, Cleveland did just that in the 2025 NFL Draft. They drafted Dillon Gabriel in the third round and Shaduer Sanders in the fifth round. It was a QB horror show last year, and it could get even worse.

Oh yeah, and the Browns are probably getting Deshaun Watson back for 2026, too. Watson missed all of last season after tearing his Achilles tendon in 2024 and then retearing it in January of 2025. His off-the-field issues are also a whole separate problem. All the while, Cleveland is taking on a $44.9 million cap hit for Watson this upcoming season.

Obviously, none of those quarterbacks have looked any good in their Cleveland stints thus far. Watson hasn’t been able to adjust, playing just 19 games in four seasons. Sanders has flashed but has struggled with turnovers and facing pressure, and Gabriel’s arm talent isn’t really there. Now, they add Green, whose mechanics need a ton of work.

There were rumors that Green could transition to a wide receiver or tight end role at the NFL level, but he’s stated he’s going to be a quarterback, and the Browns feel the same way. If he sticks in that role, well then, things are going to get even crazier in Cleveland. Their situation at that spot is horrendous, and the Ravens will continue to take full advantage of that every time that they match up with them.
