If trends continue, the Ravens could have a new receiving record holder in 2026

Zay Flowers has become a star with the Baltimore Ravens and is growing into one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. Despite all the questions about whether he’s a true No. 1, 2025 proved he is. And if that 1,211-yard campaign wasn’t enough, he’s surely ready to one-up himself again.

If you’re counting the stats, Flowers has consistently outdone himself each season since entering the league. He kicked off his career with 858 yards in 2023, posted 1,059 in 2024, and notched an exceptional 1,211 in 2025. He’s improving by 176.5 yards each year, and if he continues that pace, he could find himself owning a Ravens record pretty soon.

That record? The franchise leader in single-season receiving yards. Currently, that honor is held by Mark Andrews at 1,361 yards, but if Flowers continues his upward trend, he could pass his teammate.

Zay Flowers has a golden opportunity to take ownership of Baltimore Ravens receiving record

Is Zay Flowers’ pace something he could have trouble maintaining? Certainly. The Ravens have a run-heavy team after all, and while the two-time Pro Bowler will likely continue to take strides, he could have trouble matching that 152-yard clip that he improved by last year, which is the exact amount he’d need to clear Mark Andrews’ mark.

It’s not impossible, though. In an article for BaltimoreRavens.com, Quentin Corpuel highlighted five Ravens records that could be broken in 2026. Although he acknowledged that the Andrews record could be most difficult to break, he noted that Flowers has the runway to challenge for it. Corpuel wrote:

“A necessary ingredient to reach this total is a large target share, which Flowers is likely to have this season. While the Ravens have a handful of promising wide receivers, including Rashod Bateman, Devontez Walker and a pair [of] rookies in Elijah Sarratt and Ja'Kobi Lane, Flowers is undoubtedly the top option among Ravens pass-catchers.”

Baltimore’s receiving production last year was bad. Flowers was the only one to surpass 422 yards through the air, and he was also the lone player to tally over 50 receptions with a whopping 86. And this year, the chips have an even better chance of falling in the 25-year-old’s favor.

The Ravens will be moving forward without a few key contributors from last year. Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar departed in free agency, and at this point, it's almost certain that DeAndre Hopkins won’t be back either. Based on that trio’s numbers last year, there's 91 targets up for grabs. Of course, guys like Devontez Walker could break out and take a large portion of those, but Flowers should also demand a heavy dosage of those 91 extra looks.

Then there’s also the fact that Lamar Jackson is back at 100 percent. The two-time MVP is seemingly always looking Flowers’ way, but he missed four games last year and was banged up with a hamstring injury and a variety of other injuries throughout 2025. If Jackson can stay on the field for all 17 contests, that should only increase Flowers’ chances of writing his name into the Baltimore history books.

Oh, and you also have to factor in the new offensive coordinator, Declan Doyle. He's an exciting young mind who has noted that his offense will be all about hunting explosive plays. That could feed Flowers the extra yards he needs for the record.

Regardless, it’s all about team success. The Ravens are looking to get back to the playoffs in 2026 and break through the playoff wall. If Flowers can set a new record in the process, that would just be a cherry on top.
