This would be an interesting hire.

The Baltimore Ravens sent shockwaves through the NFL world by firing John Harbaugh on Tuesday, but was the right move and it's probably been time for change for a while now. Believe it or not, the Ravens have not won multiple games in the postseason since the Super Bowl title back in 2012.

Harbaugh may very well end his NFL coaching career as one of the winningest of all-time and with a bust in Canton, but it was time for a change. The primary vision the Ravens' decision-makers should have with this search is how to again get the most out of Lamar Jackson.

This feels like a closed chapter in the Jackson era, and he's not getting any younger, so the Ravens must bring in someone who can not only unlock his potential, but also ensure he can sustain success into his 30s, as his play style is not one that currently ages well in the NFL. Their most recent interview request could be the perfect hire.

The Ravens have requested to interview Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak

Klint Kubiak is the son of Super Bowl-winning head coach Gary Kubiak, and he's currently the offensive coordinator of the Seattle Seahawks:

This is actually Kubiak's third stint as an OC in the NFL. He was an OC for the Minnesota Vikings back in 2021, an OC for the New Orleans Saints in 2024, and again with the Seahawks in 2025. Here are some notable statistics with these stints:

Vikings: 14th in points scored, 12th in yards
Saints: 24th in points scored, 21st in yards
Seahawks: 3rd in points scored, 8th in yards

It's not a bad career-arc for Kubiak. He's had three stints as an OC, which also means three different coaching staffs and perhaps a wealth of connections to build a staff from. He's been top-10 in both yards and points with the Seahawks in 2025, and it's not like his QB, Sam Darnold, is a special talent.

We've seen the Kubiak-led Seahawks' offense really excel at throwing the ball down the field, which is something that Jackson has been able to do. The two-time MVP is someone who can win from the pocket, and this is what Kubiak prioritizes.

When you think about the long-term with Lamar Jackson and maximizing his full potential, hiring Klint Kubiak might be a home-run hire, and it's nice to see that the Baltimore Ravens are at least giving him an interview.
