The Baltimore Ravens’ offseason has brought a ton of excitement heading into their new era. However, while there have been a ton of improvements, there are also a lot of unknowns. The biggest unknown is Nnamdi Madubuike’s future.
Thankfully, there has been optimism growing surrounding Madubuike’s health. On Tuesday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Madubuike had a successful neck surgery and could resume playing.

Nothing’s 100 percent for now, but it’s clear there’s reason to believe that Madubuike will be suiting up again in 2026. For Travis Jones, who had a breakout season in 2025, this could be the best news imaginable. He would do significant damage next to Madubuike in 2026, and another breakout could be on the way. We’re talking about a first-career Pro Bowl.
Baltimore Ravens’ young star could reach new heights after Nnamdi Madubuike news
Jones enjoyed a career year in many aspects last year. He was the lifeblood of a stagnant pass rush group, leading the way with five sacks, which were strong numbers from his spot on the line. He also continued to eat up double teams and be a key run-stopper. Sure, the defense as a whole struggled, but Jones was one player that Baltimore could count on to give them consistent production.
The 26-year-old did nearly all of that last year without Nnamdi Madabuike by his side. Madubuike played in just two games before a neck injury in Week 2 ended his season. After that, it was pretty much just Jones and John Jenkins as the effective pieces on the defensive front.
As a result, Jones got a ton of attention from opposing offensive lines, but it didn’t stop him from doing damage. Imagine what he could do in his fifth season with Madubuike back in action. He’s bound to continue to take strides, and that’s not even including the fact that the Ravens signed an elite pass rusher in Trey Hendrickson.
Everything is truly pointing in the direction of another big jump coming for Travis Jones. From free agent improvements through Hendrickson, to the hiring of an elite defensive mind in Jesse Minter, to the potential return of Madubuike, Jones is being given every card necessary to put together a Pro Bowl-caliber hand in 2026.
The Pro Bowl may be a popularity contest these days, but with what will hopefully be a top team in the league, the Ravens, Jones should have the opportunity to step out on the red carpet and score his first career Pro Bowl nod.
