J.K. Dobbins could be catching passes early, and grinding the game out on the ground late

When the Baltimore Ravens take on the Houston Texans, it could be a huge chance for J.K. Dobbins to have a big fantasy football day. Dobbins is currently outside of the top 20 running backs in FanDuel DFS and is currently tied with names like Ezekiel Elliott in salary. J.K. Dobbins is a huge sleeper who should have a great game against the Houston Texans and finish well above his price slot.

Dobbins is priced low mainly because people are worried about his long-term stability. He has a list of injuries, and his most recent was very serious, but as of now, he is in great health. Dobbins returned from the PUP nearly a month ago and has been practicing since.

What is more important is what has been shown in practice. Dobbins has been used as a pass catcher much more this offseason than years prior. It makes sense, not only for the progression of Dobbins but also for the offense of Todd Monken.

The Ravens are going to pass the ball much more with Monken than Greg Roman. Still, with Lamar Jackson, he needs a few layups in the passing game. That is why Dobbins will be so valuable.

Beyond that, in this specific game, the Baltimore Ravens are 10-point favorites. If the game plays out the way that it is supposed to, the Ravens should have the lead late and will be icing the game behind J.K. Dobbins. The Houston Texans made some moves to change their roster, but last year, they had the worst run defense in the NFL. Even if that improves, it will be viewed as below average.

So, to recap, Dobbins is fully healthy and ready to handle a full workload. He gets a run defense that is manageable to beat, and the team may work to get him more receptions than ever before his career. When you add in that he may rack up points early in the air, and then rack them up late by putting things away on the ground there has to be an excitement about J.K. Dobbins in week one.

He is not going as a top five running back in fantasy football, but this week he has a chance to be that player. Dobbins is a big-time sleeper in week one against the Houston Texans.
