The Baltimore Ravens are hoping to return to offensive dominance coming out of their bye. Whether or not they can actually do this hinges largely on Lamar Jackson's health (or lack thereof). However, there have been some encouraging signs that the team's scoring unit can regain its footing regardless of the star quarterback's availability.
We've seen flashes of the high-octane group Baltimore is with Jackson over their past two-plus contests while he's been out with a hamstring strain. It hasn't been always pretty or within the flow of the game, considering they've constantly been playing catch-up. Nevertheless, one stat courtesy of Fantasy Life's Ian Hartitz foreshadows a Baltimore passing attack waiting to explode and complement a dynamic rushing unit.
One wild stat hints at Ravens' looming return to offensive prominence
Per Hartitz (via Pro Football Focus), the Ravens have dropped just three passes through their first six matches of the 2025 NFL campaign. That marks the lowest number in football, narrowly edging out the Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles for the honor.

21: Jaguars
18: Browns
15: Broncos
13: Commanders, 49ers
12: Cowboys, Jets, Chargers
11: Rams
10: Colts, Giants, Panthers
9: Chiefs, Saints, Titans, Cardinals, Vikings, Dolphins
8: Bills, Buccaneers, Falcons, Bengals
7: Steelers
6: Packers, Bears,…
For context, the Ravens boasted the league's fifth-highest drop rate in 2024 (6.1 percent), so this is a drastic year-over-year improvement. It's one of the few things they've managed to improve on last season, and it's a notable development.
Pairing a more sure-handed Ravens air strike paired with a dangerous ground game that will be amplified by Jackson's anticipated comeback is a winning combination. It's a sign that Baltimore could turn a corner as soon as its upcoming matchup with the Chicago Bears, especially if the two-time MVP plays.
Baltimore ran for 179 yards in a Week 6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. This was their highest clip since a stunning Week 1 defeat to the Buffalo Bills, so that includes when they've had Jackson. If the Ravens can carry this momentum forward and parlay it a reliable pass-catching corps, it's hard to count them out.
For whatever it's worth, Jackson sat out Baltimore's unofficial practice session to kick off their preparation to host the Bears. His status is worth monitoring, though signs point toward him suiting up, barring any setbacks.
