Cornerbacks: Jimmy Smith, Lardarius Webb, Asa Jackson, Chykie Brown, Tramain Jacobs, Dominique Franks, Derek Cox
Brown and Franks appear to be safe after starting last week’s game in place of the injured Smith and Webb. Jackson is still the favorite for third CB duties, however. Jacobs is a question mark after he has faltered a bit following his strong start. We ultimately think the team will keep him.
Cox was signed on Wednesday after being cut loose from the Vikings, and he once looked like a future star with the Jaguars. He was a huge free agent bust after signing with the Chargers last season, but is a worthwhile reclamation project for team that loves them.
