Reason #3: The Ravens are Great at Running the Ball

For whatever reason, Gary Kubiak continues to resist pounding the rock.  Perhaps they are trying to save Justin Forsett for the stretch run.  But there’s no doubting that this team is extremely effective at gaining yards on the ground, no matter who is toting the ball.

Though they have slipped a bit in PFF’s rankings (14th), the Ravens are still 10th in the NFL with stout per game averages of 4.4 yards per carry and 124.1 yards per game.  Justin Forsett is 7th in yards (722) and second in ypc (5.4) despite ranking only 11th in carries (133).
