Baltimore Ravens State of the Corps: Cornerbacks

In the draft, there are 3 cornerbacks that could be available in the late 1st or 2nd round: UConn’s Byron Jones, Wake Forest’s Kevin Johnson, and Ifo Ekpre-Olomu from Oregon.

Byron Jones burst onto the scene at the combine, where he jumped straight out of the stadium. He recorded a vertical jump of 44.5 inches and a broad jump of 12’3″ while attracting the eye of almost every scout and fan.
Jones is a tall, rangy athlete, and he ran very well in at the combine and his pro-day. According to Lance Zierlein Jones is an outstanding team leader and has excellent instincts. He could be an intriguing guy to develop and eventually take over for Webb.
