Johnson was a three year starter for the Demon Deacons. He was their number one corner and showed it by often shadowing the opposition’s top receiver in coverage. He looks very comfortable and natural in coverage and has very very good, smooth fundamentals.
Johnson is also very willing to lower his shoulder in the run game. His weight is lower than ideal though, so durability may become a concern at the next level. I do like that he could play gunner on special teams, giving him a way to contribute while developing as a corner.
