The Baltimore Ravens selected Torrey Smith in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft. In college Smith was not only a great receiver with superb speed, but he was also a prolific kick returner.

In his rookie season Smith had 841 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, finishing fifth among rookies in receiving yards and second in touchdowns. In 2012 Smith only improved on his numbers from his rookie season.

Smith lost his brother in a tragic motorcycle accident the morning before the game against the New England Patriots in week three. In the Divisional Playoff Game against the Denver Broncos Smith caught a 59-yard pass and a 32-yard pass, both for touchdowns, in a 38-35 double overtime win. The Ravens would go on to win Super Bowl XLVII 34-31 against the San Francisco 49ers.

In 2013 Smith was 17th in the league with a career best 1,128 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

In 2014, Smith started all 16 regular season games and both playoff contests for the Ravens. He registered a meager 49 receptions for 767 yards but a career-high 11 touchdowns, becoming the first Ravens player with 10-or-more touchdown receptions since 1996.

During his time with the Ravens, Torrey Smith played in 64 games (62 starts) and he registered 213 receptions for 3,591 yards and 30 touchdowns. His 30 career touchdown receptions rank second in Ravens franchise history, while his 44 receptions of 25-or-more yards are the most in franchise history.

On March 10th 2015, Smith signed a five-year deal worth $40 million dollars with the San Francisco 49ers.
