Patrick Onwuasor

Patrick Onwuasor had a heck of a game as well. He seems to be all over the field. He nearly snagged an interception, and both caused and recovered the game winning fumble from the Bills.

More from Ebony Bird

Onwuasor has a good chance of taking the number 2 middle linebacker spot from Kamalei Correa, who has been quiet so far in the preseason. This is impressive because Kamalei Correa was a second round draft pick in 2016 and Patrick Onwuasor went undrafted. I don’t know what it is about the Ravens but they sure know how to find gems in undrafted players on the defensive side of the ball.

Taquan Mizzell

The only thing keeping Taquan Mizzell off of this roster right now is depth at the running back position. He is a very similar player to Danny Woodhead and Buck Allen, and the Ravens like them better right now. Mizzell had a strong game against the Bills and was one of the only bright spots on an otherwise dismal offense.

Mizzell finished the night with 14 rushing yards and 54 receiving yards, as well as an impressive receiving touchdown to give the Ravens the lead late in the game. He is shifty and elusive in catching the ball out of the backfield. Mizzell shows a lot of promise, but like I said the Ravens already have two players who provide the same skill set and are more experienced. He faces an uphill battle to make the final roster barring any injuries, but he is doing everything he can to prove he belongs on a team.
