The return of injured stars:

This Ravens squad has found a way to remain successful despite missing some key contributors from the team. Missing from the line-up are guys such as Hayden Hurst, one of the team’s two first round pick in 2018, Jimmy Smith, who will be returning from a four-game suspension as well as a torn Achilles tendon that prematurely ended his fantastic 2017 season, and Willie Henry, a player many (including myself) pegged as a potential breakout candidate for 2018. All three of these players are expected to make a large impact of the 2018 Baltimore Ravens squad.

Even beyond these two, the Ravens will also see major contributors such as C.J. Mosley and Michael Pierce returning to full strength. Both of these guys are instrumental to Baltimore’s stout defensive front and were missed last week against the Broncos and rookie running back Royce Freeman.

Injuries are a part of the game and we can’t just expect the team to remain completely healthy moving forward, but having these five men in particular returning to the line-up means big things are coming for Baltimore. This especially true for both Smith and Mosley. These two are arguably the best players on the team’s defense and can completely alter just how dominant this defense can become.

Meanwhile, having Hurst return to the line-up could open up the offense even more than it already is. Bottom line, the Baltimore Ravens squad has played solid football, and the stock should be trending upwards with key players returning from injury.
