We are all quite aware that there are a few holes along the Ravens offensive line. Left guard is the most glaring hole on the line and Lewis could lock down a starting job with a strong training camp.

However, Lewis hadn’t worked out with his teammates most of the off-season and the Ravens announced that he was going to start training camp on the Physically Unable to perform list with a shoulder injury. Lewis had a scary injury last year in Tennessee that saw him carted off the field.

Health has been an issue for Lewis throughout his three years in Baltimore as well . The fourth round pick in the 2016 draft has started 18 games in his three-year career. Lewis has proven adequate when he is able to dress but his inability to be available is a risky proposition at a premium position in the offensive line.

There are certainly other competitors for this spot including 2019 fourth round selection Ben Powers who many are hoping will steal the starting left guard spot in his rookie season. Lewis needs to find his way onto the practice field as soon as possible and will need a strong camp performance if he wants to be a part of the 53 man roster here in Baltimore.
