After hiring Jesse Minter, the Baltimore Ravens' focus now shifts to rounding out the rest of their coaching staff. Frankly, coordinator changes will be welcomed on both sides of the ball.
Regarding the offensive coordinator, though, some high-end targets immediately stand out, and one of these OCs could help further uplift the Ravens after what looks to be a stellar head coaching hire.
Without any further ado, let's explore three possible options to fill the Ravens' OC void.
3 coaches who could be ideal Ravens OC targets
Kliff Kingsbury
Kliff Kingsbury was in the mix for the Ravens' head coaching position. Furthermore, it's been reported that Lamar Jackson (among other members of the team) prefers Kingsbury as the OC. As such, he seems like a clear favorite.
Kingsbury has a wealth of experience coaching Patrick Mahomes and Caleb Williams in college, as well as Kyler Murray (during his best years) and Jayden Daniels at the NFL level. This strong track record with QBs makes Kingsbury a clear target. His ability to empower Lamar and elevate the rest of Baltimore's offenses makes Kingsbury an ideal option.
Having an OC who is qualified enough to be a head coach and has a stellar background with QBs would be a true luxury for the Ravens.
Joe Brady
Joe Brady is another OC who interviewed with the Ravens, and he even made it to a second interview round. Now, it's been reported that the Buffalo Bills' coach is a candidate for the Ravens' OC job. Brady is in the mix for the Bills' job, too, but if he doesn't get that, it's easy to see him becoming an OC elsewhere.
Sticking it to the Bills and joining their conference rivals could be a power move. More importantly for the Ravens, though, Brady has proven he can successfully oversee a high-powered offense during his tenure with the Bills. The similarities between the two teams' offenses are clear, given their high-powered run offenses.
Ultimately, Brady is a clear name to watch in the Ravens' OC search.
Davis Webb
Denver Broncos offensive pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Davis Webb is another intriguing name to watch. The 31-year-old wunderkind has been in the mix for multiple head coaching jobs. He interviewed with the Ravens and still seems firmly in play for the Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders' jobs.
If Webb doesn't land a head coaching job, it's not far-fetched to believe that he will look for an OC job. Remember, Joe Lombardi is the Broncos' OC, not Webb. And if Webb is in the market for an OC position, it's hard to imagine there will be any job more attractive than the Ravens.
Webb had a five-year career as a backup QB, and he is well thought of around the league. As such, he could connect with Jackson at a high level.
Given his deep understanding of schemes and incredible relationships with players, Webb seems destined to become a head coach at some point. Overall, getting someone this talented and young as your OC would be a homerun move for the Ravens.
