The NFL Pro Bowl has lost its luster recently, but the honor still means something to the players. It recognizes some of the NFL’s best players for their spectacular play throughout the season, and the Baltimore Ravens have seen an abundance of Pro Bowlers over the years.
In 2024, Baltimore had a league-high nine Pro Bowlers. The team is stacked, and it can be hard for some of their more underrated players to get the acknowledgment they deserve. However, 2025 is another opportunity, and a few players could find themselves on the Pro Bowl team by season’s end who are flying under the radar.
3 under the radar Pro Bowl candidates
Isaiah Likely
Isaiah Likely has proven he is one of football's most gifted tight ends. He is a dominant red zone threat and offers a dynamic blend of strength and athleticism. The 25-year-old was on the verge of breaking out last year, and while Ravens fans know how impactful he was, his lack of elite statistical production made it difficult to make a Pro Bowl case for him.
Baltimore’s vast array of talent on the offensive end makes it a struggle for any weapon to get the targets they need. Quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry are threats to run the football on every down, and wide receiver Zay Flowers and tight end Mark Andrews are the go-to guys through the air. Even wideout Rashod Bateman broke out last year. With so many threats, Likely could not be among the league’s best in yards and receptions.
2025 should be different, though. Most of the best tight ends in the league reside in the NFC, and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce took a step back in 2024. The door is open for Likely to make his first Pro Bowl. Rookie safety Malaki Starks had high praise for the former fourth-round pick, saying he was the toughest player to cover in OTAs. If that is any telling of what next season has in store, Likely should find himself in his first Pro Bowl.
Roger Rosengarten
In 2024, offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten faced some of the most high-powered pass rushers in the league. In an AFC North with the likes of Trey Hendrickson, Myles Garrett, and TJ Watt coming off the edge, he had his work cut out for him. However, the Washington product put together an above-average season and came into his own at the end of the season.
He finished the season with a 66.9 Pro Football Focus grade and found his footing at the end of the year. In seven of the last eight regular season games, he was phenomenal as a pass blocker. When the playoffs kicked off, he helped the Ravens shut down Watt, holding him to a zero in every statistical category. He has already shown talent, and year two should be even better.
At OTAs, Rosengarten mentioned he is feeling as good as he ever has. The future is bright for the 23-year-old who has been battle-tested early in his career. If he can continue to be a dominant pass blocker and develop his run-blocking consistency, Baltimore could have one of the league’s top tackle duos.
Keaton Mitchell
Running back Keaton Mitchell can revitalize the Ravens’ return game in 2025. During interviews with the media, the East Carolina product mentioned he is eager to get back on the field at 100%. Specifically, he mentioned he wants to be the team’s kick returner this season and seems like the perfect player for the job.
When it comes to returning kicks, speed kills, which Mitchell has plenty of. In his rookie year, he quickly proved he cannot be stopped in the open field. The 23-year-old used his lethal speed to gash defenses play after play. He is a quick decision-maker and can juke any player out of their shoes. He is exactly what the Ravens need as a returner.
The Ravens have a history of success on kick returns, most recently with wide receiver Devin Duvernay, who earned two Pro Bowl selections in 2021 and 2022. The unit knows how to create plays on kickoffs, and with the new touchback rule spotting the ball at the 35-yard line, opportunities should come for Mitchell.
It is unlikely that all these guys will earn Pro Bowl honors in 2025, but they have the talent and have already shown flashes of breaking out soon.
