Ed Reed Wanted Rex Ryan As Head Coach In Baltimore
Though John Harbaugh has proved to be a great coach for the Baltimore Ravens, Safety Ed Reed says that the players wanted the then defensive cooridinator, Rex Ryan, to become the head coach.
ESPN’s “Best of the NFL” AFC North Awards
James Walker of ESPN presented the AFC North with five awards. There is the Best QB arm, Best QB in the clutch, Best tweeter, Best pregame orator, and Best special-teams wrecking ball. Two of them went to Baltimore Ravens. Can you guess which ones? Continue reading to find out.
Joe Flacco Says “I Do”
Baltimore Raven’s quarterback Joe Flacco married his highschool sweetheart, Dana Grady, this past weekend in Philadelphia. The two have been dating since their senior year in highschool. After nine years, they finally tied the knot. Although Joe Flacco must be thrilled to finally have a ring on his finger, I’m sure that a Superbowl ring would look much better to the people of Baltimore. Though I don’t think LaMarr Woodley would be to happy about it.
Ed Reed of the Baltimore Ravens sat down with Ed Werder to discuss numerous NFL topics including his future playing career, the NFL Lockout, as well as the Ravens – Steelers rivalry.
Fans Outranged With Decision To Move Training Camp
The decision to move the Baltimore Ravens training camp from the public campus of Westminster to a private facility in Owings Mills was not popular among many fans. The thousands of people who attend camp each year to cheer on their Ravens were disapointed to hear that the private facility in Owings Mills was not open to public. Luckily for them, Baltimore Raven’s President Dick Cass announced that there may be some practice sessions at M&T Bank Stadium that fans can attend. This depends on the training camp structure that the league will present once the lockout is eventually over. [...]
Vegas’ Prediciton of Ravens Season
Though not much is going on in the world of football (though the end of the lockout is looking to come by mid-July!), there are a few things that have come about as of late related to our Ravens. I conducted a poll on the site a few weeks ago asking you guys how you thought this year’s season will go for the Ravens. 47% of you believe they will win the Superbowl. 34% says we go 12-4 or better making the playoffs and finally beating the Steelers but no Superbowl. Finally, 19% of you think the Ravens will go [...]
Ravens Must Look Everywhere For A Passrusher
The Baltimore Ravens were expected to do big things last year on the defensive side of the ball with a heavy pass rush providing a foundation for the defense as a whole. Sergio Kindle’s injury proved to set the team back as the guy opposite of Terrell Suggs was nowhere to be found. Luckily, it’s a new year and the Ravens can re-organize and regroup.
Baltimore Ravens Safety Breakdown
Matt Williamson, ESPN’s AFC North Blog, breaks down the Baltimore Ravens’ safeties. Included are Ed Reed, Dawan Landry, Tom Zbikowski, and Haruki Nakamura. Here is a snippet from the Ed Reed portion: In my opinion, Ed Reed is the second-best safety in the league. Reed is a sure Hall of Famer, and his overall playmaking ability is off the charts. After spending the first six games of last season on the PUP list, Reed stormed back to lead the league with eight interceptions. There isn’t a more dangerous defender in the league with the ball in his hands. He is a student [...]
Those looking forward to their annual trip to McDaniel College to see the Baltimore Ravens prepare for the upcoming season may have to change their plans a bit. Although the exact time frame of training camp is unknown due to the lockout, what we do know is that it will not take place at McDaniel College in Westminister and instead will be held at a facility located in Owings Mills. Since the Ravens inaugural season in 1996, training camp has always been held at McDaniel College where thousands of fans would cheer on and observe the Ravens practice. Unfortunately fans [...]
Ravens’ Safety Ed Reed Says He’s Not 100%
Baltimore Ravens’ Safety Ed Reed admits that he is not 100 percent. The All-Pro safety missed six games last year due to hip and neck injuries. Despite the lingering injuries, he still came up with a league leading eight interceptions in just ten games. “I’m still not 100 percent (healthy), but I’m 100 percent mentally at this point as far as everything I can do. I know my limitations. I still have a lot of work to do before the season starts.” Ed Reed continues to show his dominance year after year despite his age and persistent injuries. Rumors have spread [...]
