Baltimore Ravens Week In Review

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

It’s been five days and finally the power is back on in my neighborhood. My apologies go out to all of our loyal readers as this site was not updated over the past few days. Since I’ve missed a lot recently, I’m going to do a week in review that covers the top stories over the past week. So without further adieu, your Baltimore Ravens week in review. Oniel Cousins To Cleveland The Ravens drafted guard Oniel Cousins in 2008. He’s disappointed many at both the tackle and guard position. He had false starts and blown assignments in the first [...]

Other Opinions: SI’s Don Banks

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

Sitting bored in my first class of the semester listening to a French professor talk about syllabi and university guidelines, I decided to just look around on Sports Illustrated. Boy is it my lucky day because what did I find but a “front page” article about the AFC North this season. What’s so good about that? Don Banks has the Ravens beating the Steelers this year and winning the AFC North for the first time since 2006. Though he breaks down both teams weaknesses, strengths, and predicts their record, there’s one paragraph that really stood out to me (and that [...]

Fantasy Football Preview: Tight Ends

AUTHOR: | IN: Fantasy, Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

We’re coming down to the home stretch here. I mean that in two ways: I only have two posts left and three position previews for fantasy football (this post is for tight ends and the last post will combine defenses and kickers) and the regular season opener is 10 days away! WOO! But onto the fantasy football part…

Ray Rice Does The Ray Lewis Dance

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

If you missed the end of last night’s game, you didn’t get to see Ray Rice’s rendition of the Ray Lewis dance. It was pretty accurate and Ray Lewis seemed to approve. Both Rays were seen laughing after. Please follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook for all news, NFL and Ravens. Also, make sure to +1 our articles!

Know Your Enemy: Washington Redskins

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

This week I talked to the Editor of FanSided’s Washington Redskins blog, Riggo’s Rag. Ryan Estorninos had this to say: 1. I couldn’t help but notice Tim Hightower’s performance over the last two weeks. Do you think his success running the ball will continue throughout the regular season or is it just a preseason fluke?   No I don’t think its a fluke, but expect to see him spelled a lot and often.  I predict that he will unseat Ryan Torain for the number one back, but be spelled by him with Roy Helu, Jr. as a change up [...]

Ravens Have New Game Day Kickoff Song

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

You may have noticed a new song playing during last week’s kickoff against the Chiefs. That new tune will play at every kickoff for the Ravens this season. Egypt Central tweaked their song “Kick Ass” and added a Baltimore Ravens theme. Listen for the song tomorrow when the Baltimore Ravens take on the Washington Redskins in week three of the preseason. What The Signing Of Bryant McKinnie Means To The Baltimore Ravens’ Offensive Line

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

Earlier today, the Baltimore Ravens signed veteran tackle Bryant Mckinnie. The former Minnesota Viking was waived after showing up to training camp overweight. I like this move for many reasons, but it raises more questions than answers for the Ravens offensive line. Much more after the jump…

Ravens sign Bryant McKinnie

AUTHOR: | IN: Free Agency, NFL, Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Ravens have signed tackle Bryant McKinnie.  Terms of the deal are unknown at the time. This could signal that the Ravens are not comfortable with starting Jah Reid at RT or they want to put pressure on Oher to step up and play better. McKinnie is a 10 year veteran who was cut by the Vikings after showing up to camp 50 lbs overweight.  His agent, Drew Rosenhaus had sent a mass email to teams offering McKinnie’s services for $2.5 million on a one year deal with reasonable incentives.  It will be interesting to find out what the Ravens [...]
