Ravens Reverse Bad Half And Come Out With The Win 30-27
“Anything can happen on any given Sunday.” We’ve heard it time and time again and this week is no exception. The Baltimore Ravens carried there poor offensive performance from last week, back to Baltimore where they faced the Arizona Cardinals. The first half was a disaster as the Ravens’ offensive line fell apart and Joe Flacco struggled early. The defense allowed some uncharacteristic big plays and the usually stout special teams unit showcased poor tackling as the rookie Patrick Peterson took a punt to the house. The Ravens were able to add a field goal at the end of the [...]
Ravens vs. Cardinals: Gameday!
Good morning Ravens fans! It’s almost game time in Baltimore and the Ravens will look to rebound after their disappointing loss last week. Inactives today for the Ravens include Danny Gorrer, Chykie Brown, Anthony Allen, Daniel Ellerbe, Sergio Kindle, Lee Evans, and Ben Grubbs. The secondary gets a few players back in Chris Carr and Tom Zbikowski. For the Cardinals, Todd Heap will not play during his first return to Baltimore but running back Beanie Wells will see the field. Also, linebacker Joey Porter and safety Kerry Rhodes EbonyBird will be tweeting live game updates on twitter so make sure [...]
Todd Heap Thanks The Fans Of Baltimore
Over the years, Todd Heap became a prominent figure in Baltimore. Known for his great heart and play on the field, Heap built up a great report with his fans. Despite currently playing for another team, Heap made sure to thank his fans before returning home this Sunday for a match up against his former team: For a decade, my wife Ashley, and I took great pride in calling Baltimore home. We greatly appreciated the way this city embraced our family and took us in as your own. We wanted to publicly and emphatically thank all of you for your [...]
Bernard Pollard Fined $10,000 For Hit On Deji Karim
Bernard Pollard was fined $10,000 for unnecessary roughness. Specifically, on a pass play, he struck a defenseless player in the head and neck area. – AFC spokesman Corry Rush Bernard Pollard has been issued a $10,000 fine by the NFL for a supposed “illegal” hit on Jacksonville Jaguars running back Deji Karim. Pollard received a 15 yard penalty for the hit which was criticized by many including the Monday Night Football announcers. More after the jump…
Terrell Owens, A Raven?
It’s no secret that the wide receiver position has been troublesome for the Baltimore Ravens. In an attempt to fix that, the Ravens drafted Torrey Smith and traded for Lee Evans this off-season. Smith’s inexperience has handicapped him at times and Evans has only seen the field in two games due to injury. In a time like this, is Terrell Owens the answer? More after the jump…
Who’s To Blame For The Ravens Loss To The Jags?
I shared my quick reaction following the loss on Monday and was pretty heated. I’ve followed the 24 hour rule and let it digest before I wrote anything else about it. To begin, let’s talk about who’s not to blame. The Ravens defense played lights out. Even though that’s expected when they’re facing an offense led by a rookie quarterback, it should be noted. Allowing only 12 points in the game and just over 200 yards, the Ravens defense did their job and gave the offense more than enough opportunities to win the game. However, those opportunities never became realities [...]
Suggs Says Rice Should Have Gotten More Carries
Terrell Suggs was pretty upset in how the Ravens lost that game and his point is a valid one. Ray Rice is without a doubt the Ravens best offensive player and probably one of best players in the league currently. Given that, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense that he only carried the ball seven times. Yes, he had two uncharacteristic fumbles but that doesn’t mean you should completely abandon your best player. The proven formula for winning on the road is good defense and a good running game. The Ravens accomplished the former but failed the latter. [...]
Jaguars 12, Ravens 7: Quick Thoughts
That was one of the most despicable displays of football I’ve ever seen. The Ravens’ defense provided the offense with plenty of opportunities but things just didn’t start clicking. It was a disturbing thing to see. The offensive line was in shambles and the receivers couldn’t get an inch of separation against a Jaguars D that played lights out. And then there’s Flacco… I don’t understand what’s missing. I’ve never seen a player play this inconsistent in any sport. His constant emotionless expression has gotten on my nerves and I can’t take it any longer. You have a chance to come [...]

Jaguars vs. Ravens Interview
Andrew Hofheimer, editor of FanSided’s Jaguars blog Black&Teal, and myself exchanged questions about the Jaguars vs. Ravens matchup. Our previous post was his answers to my questions. To see my response to his questions, click here. Here’s a sample below: Andrew Hofheimer: What do you guys think of Joe Flacco? After his rookie year, has he continued to progress at the rate Ravens fan and media thought he would? Is he undoubtedly the future in Baltimore? Riley Babcock: I still haven’t made up my mind on Joe Flacco. He’ll blow me away one week and then look like a high school quarterback [...]
